Hello Chesapeake FSC Members,

 

Sometimes, it is worth looking back . . .

 

A hearty team of volunteers and I have been running test sessions here for 3 years now.  I looked back over the numbers, and the results give one pause.  Imagine the total effort involved in putting out over 150 tests per year, consistently, for three years!  Think about . . .

·       the skaters who aspire and practice diligently,

·       the parents who chauffeur, support, and fund,

·       the coaches who inspire and prod,

·       the club members who run the sessions smoothly, and

·       the judges who offer feedback with a trained eye. 

 

What goes into this process is truly amazing, and we are so happy to be able to recognize our skater’s progress on the new “Wall of Fame”.  If your photo should be added to the wall, or you would like a new picture taken, please contact Lee Jones or me. 

 

The final activity for the test committee during this membership year will be to arrange the judge’s critiques for the 30 skaters in the Spring Showcase on May 19.  Space is limited in this show, so please get your application in to the Show Director, Nick Kohut, as soon as possible.
